Screen repair

Repair Torn Mesh Without Ignoring the Frame

We inspect the entire removable screen before installing new mesh. That prevents a bent rail, cracked corner or loose attachment from being hidden by a cosmetic repair.

A practical repair sequence

Check the Frame First, Then Select the Mesh

A square, stable frame can usually be cleaned and rescreened. If the frame is twisted or the corners no longer hold, repairing only the fabric will not restore a proper fit.

Door screens may also need roller, handle or latch work. Those operating parts should be identified separately so the repair request reflects the actual problem.

What the repair may include

Match the Work to the Failed Component

Not every screen needs a complete rebuild. The condition of each part establishes the scope.

Mesh and Spline Replacement

Old mesh and spline are removed, the channel is checked and new material is tensioned into a reusable frame.

Corner and Frame Repair

Loose joints or damaged rails are assessed before rescreening. Some frames can be rebuilt; severely distorted frames may need replacement.

Final Fit and Hardware Check

Tabs, springs, rollers and handles are checked where applicable. The completed screen still needs to sit correctly in its intended opening.

Prepare the repair request

Label Multiple Screens by Room or Opening

Screens that look similar can have different dimensions or attachment hardware. Marking each one helps return it to the correct opening after repair.

If a screen cannot be removed safely, send photos of the complete opening and explain the access issue. Do not bend the frame to force it out.
